Fairplay Brands see growth despite tough climate

Fairplay Brands see growth despite tough climate

Cory and Sam started the business back in Jan 2020, just in time for a global pandemic. Not the greatest timing in hindsight! We did however secure some initial orders across 2 new brands, only to see them canceled a month later, but reinstated a few weeks after that once the Online retailers seen their traffic double!

Around six months down the line we started to use the Sharp Project. Initially for a few weeks we would come and visit an existing tenant to use the facilities *basically we set up in the Booths in the campus !

In December 2020 we took on a container office as the team started to be built, and in just a couple of months by the end of January 2021 we moved from that into a larger office on the Campus ground floor.

In a relatively short space of time we have built a business that creates its own brands, building a clear DNA, executing strong product and marketing, then selling that into a number of leading retailers.

Our brand portfolio covers Okami Sport (Sports brand), L’amore Couture (Womens Fashion), PRETTYLUXE (Young Womens Fashion), Iconico Couture (Mens Fashion) and the soon to be launched PEACH FIT (Womens Sports Brand). We are working across retailers such as Footasylum, DV8, M&M and Jacamo, but have a few others which will be added by the end of 2022. Next up we look forward towards how we execute a D2C plan for our leading brands, so all in all a busy year ahead…

The flexibility of The Sharp Project has really helped a business like FAIRPLAY to accommodate a quick growing team, as well as really improving our Ping Pong levels!
