BECTU Talks Tax – Changes to IR35: Members Briefing

This event takes place on: Jan 20 at 19:30 in The Campus

BECTU will be holding a drop in session on Monday 20th January at 19:30 in The Campus and would love for you to join them for a one to one conversation about updated tax rules for workers with their own limited companies.

Tax rules for workers with their own limited companies are due to change in April 2020 for anyone with private sector engagers who have more than 50 employees, and turnover above £10.2m a year.

From then, the legal duty to determine whether the worker is actually an employee for tax purposes, despite working though a personal service company, will rest with the company that engages you (‘the engager’). The legal framework is often referred to as ‘IR35’.

To find out how these chages may impact you, come along to our members briefing on 20th January at The Sharp Project, and Tony Lennon, our tax guru, will de mystify what’s about to change.

Doors open from 7pm with the main event at 8pm.
