The Day Suzi Perry Wasn’t Here

Rumours abound of a visit to The Sharp Project by Suzi Perry of Gadget Show fame. The story goes that she spent a day here, mixing with the tenants, impressing them with her rounded knowledge of all things techy and working on some kind of challenge for the aforementioned show. I can categorically state that it did not happen. On the day of the putative visit, Suzi was spotted by Gadget Show crew on their monitors, most definitely in their studio.

Perhaps those indulging in speculation would care to tell me how a woman of Suzi’s standing could have been in two places at once without arousing suspicion. To be charitable, some miracle of quantum mechanics could have taken place (which we can rule out because Sharp’s flux capacitor has not yet been installed) or some kind of digital motion capture trickery was being performed by one of the tenants. Of the two possible explanations I would probably go with the mo cap one, but as the Gadget Show crew have never before lied to me, I’ll stick to my guns and say she was not here. You’ll see how right I am when it’s broadcast on Channel 5 on Monday 7 March 2011 at 8 p.m. Be there or be … somewhere else too.
