SharpFutures presents a Digital Original “Off the Record” which pays homage to the vinyl heritage in the digital environment. With Record Store Day just around the corner on April 18th the global vinyl music industry encourages vinyl geeks to hit the streets and share their love of all things vinyl. Founded in 2007 Record Store Day is an annual event held on the third Saturday of April each year to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store.

Vinyl Justice on Campus! – Put the needle on the record!

Bring in your Vinyl! We will have the wheels of steel on Campus, and we will be spinning your favourites on a first come first served basis from 12pm. From African to Avant Garde, Caribbean to Country (and Western!) Easy Listening to Electronic, Psyche to Prog, Gospel to Metal, Folk to Blues Reggae to Jazz. We want to hear your Northern Soul Sing!

BRING YOUR VINYL TO WORK!

Beanbag Cinema:

A loving selection of documentary, short films and feature length treats. Screenings will take place throughout the day in Gold 062 and you are encouraged to peruse the programme and pop in to see something a little bit different. Off the record and into the Cinema!
