BBC Digital Cities at The Sharp Project

BBC Digital Cities is coming to Manchester 14 – 18 November 2016 for a series of inspiring events and roadshows across the city.
The week is a fantastic opportunity to bring together everyone working in the digitally creative industries in the city, to promote cross-sector collaboration, forge new partnerships and develop skills in the next set of digital innovations.
Partners working with the BBC to bring together a range of digitally focused activities to the city include the BBC, ITV, Manchester Animation Festival, Manchester Metropolitan University Digital Innovation Unit, The Digital Production Partnership, Manimation, Creative Skillset, Salford University, Home, Autotrader and The Sharp Project.
The BBC have a packed programme of events available to book including practical hands-on workshops around digital creativity, masterclasses from leading industry experts, Tech Expos on the latest AV /VR & Gaming innovations and conference-style events. The majority of events are free and are open to anyone working or hoping to work within the digital creative industries in Manchester. Digital Cities at The Sharp Project
- SharpFutures will be hosting interactive tours of The Sharp Project; showcasing cutting edge tech demonstrations and developments in gamification. .
Games companies, TV production, and digital forensic businesses based at The Sharp Project will highlight the latest technologies from their industries and the ways in which they are increasingly converging and collaborating with each other, by providing guests with immersive demonstrations.
The open studio tours with tenants such as 4D immersive, Sigtrap Games and Boomdash, will allow guests to ask questions and network with industry professionals.
Home to over 60 creative and digital businesses, The Sharp Project encompasses cross-sector collaboration, with its ecology of diverse professionals offering a network of complementary skills.

Taking part in The Sharp Project’s gamification tours will be:
4D immersive, Boomdash, Brickhouse Productions, Evidential, Sigtrap Games, PlaygroundSquad, Max Brodie, 80 Hertz, Northcoders, HEInventions, Pro Motion, Touchsoft and Fabrik Games.
This FREE event is aimed at media and gaming professionals, new entrants and students from the creative digital sector.
