MAKE | TEST | PLAY WEEKEND at The Sharp Project

This weekend, Saturday July 7th & Sunday July 8th we’re looking forward to celebrating two days of digital creativity at MAKE | TEST | PLAY here at The Sharp Project as North West Playtesters & Manchester Coderdojo host their last events before the summer break.

Both days are free to attend but you will need to register in advance – here for North West Playtesters & here for Manchester CoderDojo.

We’ll be confirming details about both events up the weekend plus posting live updates each day via our Twitter 

On Saturday we welcome back North West Playtesters for another full day of indie game playtesting across board/card, PC, mobile, console and experimental games to be tested.

Note: North West Playtesters welcome children aged 13 and above, provided they are supervised with and adult.

Northwest Playtesters is for:

· Play and give feedback on the newest games being developed.

· Book in on the day for your one-to-ones with a range of experts from retail, crowdfunding, education and more.

· Network with fellow game developers and enthusiast.

· Discussion panel on games development

Games developers and players from across the North West are welcome to attend.

Then on Sunday Manchester CoderDojo returns for Dojo number 48.

Manchester CoderDojo is a volunteer-led community group for young people to code and make things and is hosted monthly by SharpFutures at The Sharp Project, part of the wider CoderDojo global network.

What to bring

If you have access to a laptop, please try to bring that. Please also make sure it is fully charged.

There will be various workshops & activities throughout the day for a variety of skill sets, from first time attendee to more experienced coders as well as lots of opportunities to try new creative kit such as Raspberry PI, Little Bits, Sonic PI, microbits & more!
