A Cool & Amazing collaboration…

One of the most important aspects of The Sharp Project is the collaboration between our creative community – it’s always great to see examples of our digital businesses working together. Please see below for a blog by Marc, Director of Coolbox, about their recent work with fellow tenants Planet Amazing.

Video is an essential marketing tool nowadays, and with the social and online landscape changing almost daily, Coolbox are here to help tell your story. We create video content to help cut through the noise and encourage customers to engage with your business or brand.

Over the past few years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some fantastic brands, including Jonnie Walker, The East India Company, Brother, Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Facebook, PizzaExpress, Paypal, Glengoyne Distillery, The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Scotrail and Coca Cola.

Coolbox have produced video content across various sectors and industries throughout the UK, however, over the past few months, we have started to refocus the business, aiming to be the go-to video experts for the food and drink industry. Almost 50% of internet users look for videos related to a product or service before visiting a store, this is perhaps most poignant for food and drink sector.

With this in mind, we decided Coolbox needed an online facelift for 2018. We appointed fellow Sharp Project tenant Planet Amazing to design and build our shiny new website. We wanted to place video at the forefront of the new site and Andy at Planet Amazing suggested ways to show off our assets, as it were, as soon as you land on the homepage.

Andy Cadwallader, Creative Director at Planet Amazing said: “We were delighted to be asked by Marc at Coolbox, one of our fellow Sharp Project tenants to produce their new website. We’ve kept it in-keeping with their cool, ‘fresh’ brand and we felt it was important to make use of video headers to showcase the incredible work they do”. We’ve already had fantastic feedback from clients new and old about the site.

As you can imagine, over the past few years we’ve built up quite the archive of mouth-watering footage from the food and drink projects we’ve worked on, so we decided it was about time to cut a new showreel. Would you believe it’s been over 5 years since we cut our last one (it can be hard to find the time to focus on your own marketing when you’re rushed off your feet making beautiful films for our various clients).

As with the website, the reel needed to showcase the food and drink brands we’ve worked with, as well as being a visual calling card for any new brands who were looking to appoint a new video production company to create content for their 2018 campaigns.
