Since opening The Sharp Project has hosted a number of major broadcast TV productions onsite, either utilising the large scale production stages or the production offices.

Fresh Meat
‘Fresh Meat’ revolves around the lives of six students — Vod, Oregon, Josie, Kingsley, JP and Howard — who are freshers (with the exception of Howard) at the fictional Manchester Medlock University, Manchester. They live in a shared house off-campus in Rusholme rather than university halls of residence, due to their late application.

That Day We Sang
‘That Day We Sang’, written and directed by Victoria Wood, was made by Endor Productions at The Sharp Project in 2014.
The one hour show was produced by Paul Frift and executive produced by Hilary Bevan Jones.

The Making of a Lady
Set in 1901, ‘The Making Of A Lady’ is the story of the educated but penniless Emily. During her duties as a lady’s companion, she meets her employer’s nephew, Lord James Walderhurst. Accepting his marriage proposal, Emily finds solace in the company of Walderhurst’s nephew and his glamorous wife, after Lord James leaves to rejoin his regiment. Emily, alone with the Osborns, increasingly comes under their control. She begins to fear for her life.

Old Jack's Boat
‘Old Jack’s Boat’ is a British pre-school children’s television series that stars Bernard Cribbins as Old Jack, the owner of a multi-coloured boat called The Rainbow. In each episode Jack (Bernard Cribbins) tells a story to the viewer.

The Mill
Based on the extensive historical archive of Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire and real people’s lives, ‘The Mill’ depicts Britain at a time when the industrial revolution is changing the country beyond recognition. The series deals with themes of worker’s rights, safety in millwork, child labour laws and the political movement to improve these conditions.

Exile
Exile is a British psychological thriller television series dealing with the topic of Alzheimer’s disease against a background of corruption, starring John Simm and Jim Broadbent. Produced by AbbottVision for BBC One, more details here.

Being Eileen
‘Being Eileen’, written by Michael Wynne, features an ensemble cast. Headed by Sue Johnston, who plays Eileen Lewis, the programme focusses on her, the widowed matriarch of a “large, close-knit and dysfunctional Northern family”.
