From Manchester to Sydney: The Sharp Project’s global reach in 2017

Manchester’s digital creative hub, The Sharp Project is celebrated an international reach as far as Australia in 2017, thanks to its tenants,

Digital content creative companies including ABF Pictures, Brickhouse Studios, Fabrik Games, Doodledomotion, The Drawing Room, and One iota has produced online, digital, video and gaming content for clients in the UK including Manchester, London and Wales, and as far out as Spain, Frankfurt, France, Dubai, Brazil, Mexico, Nebraska and Australia.

Rob Page from The Sharp Project, said; “The Sharp Project is well established as Manchester’s digital hub, but the work of our tenants has demonstrated that the reach is much greater than Manchester. They are doing fantastic work with national and international brands, and I think we will be seeing even more great things in 2018.”

Si Donbavand from Fabrik Games commented, ‘’Our games are played in many different countries, even continents including Europe, North and South America and Australia. It’s a far distance from our HQ in Manchester and it’s a great privilege to have the work we do at The Sharp Project reach an international scale.’’

Laura Wrigley from One iota added, ‘’We’re really proud of our achievements in 2017, most of all our global role out of technology that has been a huge focus for us this year. The Sharp Project is a very fitting place for us to be based, and it’s great to see our equipment used far and wide!’’.

Some of the big brands who have worked with The Sharp Project tenants are PlayStation, Swinton Insurance, Optical Express, Team Sky and Peacocks.

For ABF Pictures a highlight for 2017 was the filming of the current Christmas advert for Peacocks, which included X-Factor stars Honey G, Jedward and Sam Bailey.

Ghalia Khan from ABF Pictures, ‘’We created and produced the recent advert for Peacocks’ Christmas campaign, with past X-Factor contestants. We received national coverage and had reports of an increase in footfall in stores. Our base here at The Sharp Project couldn’t be any more fitting to the work we do and we’re proud to be getting our name out there nationally’”.

ABF Pictures weren’t the only tenants filming celebrities in 2017, with Brickhouse Productions spending 3 days filming with Adam Richman from Man Vs Food, during his visit to Manchester for Meat Lust.
